Lee County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, change a release date, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. For a current answer or a copy of a record, contact the agency or court that created it.
Start with Lee County Record Holders
These are the researched local contacts for booking, open-record, warrant, first-appearance, bond, and criminal-case questions. Call before visiting, because a public office’s listed hours do not guarantee jail-lobby access, records-staff availability, or same-day production.

A focused request should name the person, approximate booking or arrest date, and arresting agency when known. Ask for the existing booking sheet, booking photograph, admission and release dates, charge and bond fields, or a separate incident report. A booking-photo request must include the affirmation required by O.C.G.A. § 35-1-19. The Lee County Open Records Requests page lists ten cents per letter or legal page, actual expense for other media, and labor charges after the first fifteen minutes. No separate booking-photo fee was published. The county’s normal open-record response is within three business days when the record is available, but that is a response or timeline rule, not a promise that every copy arrives within three days.
For a quick starting point, the Lee County records hub links the official Citizen Connect roster, recent admissions, arrest search, and request path. The Inmate Confinements search separates current confinements from last-24-hour, last-seven-day, and custom admission results. An admission result can remain useful after release, while the current roster answers a narrower custody question.
- For current custody, recent admissions, a booking photograph, or a county booking record, start with the Sheriff’s Office and the official Citizen Connect Inmate Confinements route.
- For a wanted notice or a warrant question, use the court contacts above and review Wanted Fugitives; an empty Daily Report wanted tab is not a complete warrant check.
- For a story, arrest event, or local reporting trail, use Arrest News, then confirm custody and case outcome with the originating office or court.
- For city records, use the official Leesburg Police Department path or the City of Smithville site. The county booking system is the demonstrated bridge for county-level custody records; neither city supplied a verified person-level arrest feed.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, search the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) offender query. For a GDC-held photo or document, use the GDC open-records request route with the person’s full name or GDC ID and a clear description.
- For federal custody recorded by the Bureau of Prisons, use the BOP inmate locator. It covers federal inmates from 1982 forward, updates daily, and does not provide booking photographs.
- For current ICE detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System with a nine-digit A-number and country of birth, or the exact name and country of birth. ICE’s Detainee Reporting and Information Line is 1-888-351-4024, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern. The locator does not show people under 18 or mugshots.
